Tattoo sleeve finished

Sherlock Holmes is my favourite fictional character, I read all the books as a teenager and I studied them at secondary school.
As I writer he inspired me. I started my sleeve two years ago and yesterday it was finished.

Degree work

I am working in my second year of a BA honours degree in professional writing. Today’s work is sequential art, I am writing for a licensed product for my coursework, I have to produce a formatted comic script of 12 pages (sounds easier than it actually is!) , the licence that I am writing for is X Files, season 10. X files comics are amazing and a personal favourite of mine, Anybody who watches the show- I’d really recommend reading them!
I am learning about the laws of licensing and creating a script to send to the editors of this publication. I have to show evidence of research into the ways the comic uses paneling for pacing and management of time, consistent writing and character development. Hopefully my plot follows the continuity of the current comic arc and gets me a decent grade. I find this work really interesting, as a comic fan and an X Files fan. I didn’t plan to write any comic or sequential art when I started this degree almost 2 years ago! But having different skills as a writer opens new doors for me and adds to my portfolio, which can only be a good thing! I want to have diversity as a writer and be able to market myself to write for different types of media. My uni work is actually a pleasure to write and I feel very lucky to be doing something I enjoy. I will update with progress of my script once I’ve added more to it.
